Tacho Manager connects to the GPS trackers you already have. Map each device to a truck, open a live map from the Vehicles list, and let the stored track locate rests, draw the route region by region and fill distance gaps on days the card odometer recorded nothing. The tachograph card stays the source of truth.
GPS tracking is a company-account module: the company enters provider credentials, maps trackers to trucks and opens the live map; a linked driver account only sees the GPS-located regions and pins that reach its payroll view.

A red pin beside each mapped truck in the Vehicles list opens a live map. The marker refreshes every 10 seconds and shows speed, battery, time of the fix and coordinates.
Positions sync into Tacho Manager's own storage every 30 minutes, back to your provider's retention limit. Payroll and reports read local data, so nothing depends on the provider being online.
When per-km pay is on and the card odometer left a day at zero, the truck's GPS distance fills it. Days where the card has a figure are never overridden.
Each daily rest of 9 hours or more is placed where the parked truck actually was, so night-out supplements and the region column reflect the real location, not what was keyed into the tachograph.
Payroll and the rest summary list the regions the truck passed through, with departure and arrival pins you can open on a map together with their timestamps.
Go to Modules → GPS Tracking, switch the module on, enable your provider and enter its credentials. Test connection reports how many devices the account holds.
The Devices table lists every tracker with its provider, name, IMEI and last position. Pick the truck for each one. One device per truck.
Open Vehicles → Trucks and click the pin beside a mapped truck, or the Live location button on the truck's page. The map follows the vehicle as new fixes arrive.

An OpenStreetMap map with a pulsing marker that glides between fixes, polled every 10 seconds. Beneath it: device name, speed in km/h, battery level, time of the last fix and coordinates. Trucks only; trailers have no tracker.
Each mapped device syncs forward from its last stored point and backfills in 45-day chunks down to the provider's retention floor. Points are thinned to one per minute; gaps over six hours in the last five days are re-fetched.
With the per-km variant on, GPS distance is summed point to point for each day the driver's card shows that truck, and used only where the card odometer produced no distance. A single jump over 200 km is treated as a glitch and ignored.
Daily rests of 9 hours or more are located by the parked truck. The region column lists the regions crossed per workday, brief clips of a border region dropped; pins carry timestamps. Regions resolve across 24 European countries.
Country and zone come from the tachograph's own border crossings. A switch in Modules → Payroll, Use GPS tracking data in payroll, reverts payroll to card-only without disabling tracking or the live map.

No. Card activities are always the truth. GPS only locates the card's rests, adds the route regions and fills distance on days the card odometer produced nothing. Where the card has a figure, GPS never changes it.
No. Only trucks can be mapped to a tracker, and the live pin appears only on trucks with a device mapped. Trailers keep their documents and vehicle log.
Not directly: provider setup and the live map are company-only. A driver linked to a company that grants payroll access sees the same GPS-located regions and pins in the payroll view, read-only.
On the Tacho Manager server, per company account. Passwords, API keys and tokens are write-only in the app: after saving they are never displayed again, and leaving the field blank keeps the stored value.
